For the past week I have been filming a party in the Maldives. Different locations on various islands, with fire-eaters and local drumming bands offered lots to point my camera at. Temperatures well into the 30’s and humidity of around 80% meant that filming conditions were challenging. Lots of hard work but what an office to work in! I managed a few swims in the hotel pool as well as snorkelling around the island reef just outside my bedroom door so it wasn’t all work.

The flight problems meant that getting back to London was an expedition in itself, involving planes, trains and buses and lots of walking around with all my filming kit. In the end I managed to get back via Male, Doha, Milan, Geneva and Paris. Phew – I have another job tomorrow so failure was not an option!
