I love it when I can fit in two different jobs in one day. This morning’s filming was fun. I was there to film the demolition of the old rail depot at Old Oak Common. It will make way for a huge hub providing links between Crossrail, HS2 and the Great Western Main Line. I was one of the last people in the old depot before the demolition crews arrived to knock it all down. I was disappointed to learn that they don’t use a huge swinging ball to do the job any more!
I had to rush off in order to get to my next job at The Collection in Chelsea for the launch of the Samsung Alpha ‘handheld device’ (apparently I’m not allowed to call it a phone because it’s so much more than that!). I had an AAA pass to film everywhere, even in the VIP lounge. Professor Green was performing and the celebrity guest list included Sophie Ellis Bextor, Gemma Arterton, Pixie Lott and lots more I didn’t recognise…
