Sunday was a fitting day to hold the inaugural London Winter Run. A bitterly cold wind made things rather chilly for the runners (and for this cameraman). Luckily I was wearing two coats and lots of layers. More importantly, the sun was shining and everyone was in great spirits. It was a 10km run starting near Embankment, running up to Tower Hill and back again.
I was mostly filming case study interviews and vox pops as well as the start and finish areas. There were some warm polar bears on hand to give warming hugs and lots of fake snow being blown onto the course and a huge amount of money was raised for Cancer Research.
It was an emotional day hearing everyone’s stories and we came away with a lot of great footage of the event.
