Last week I was filming in Israel for three days. I had no idea what to expect of Jerusalem but I was captivated by the magic of the place. I filmed at the old fortress of Massada, a fascinating site surrounded on all sides by 400m cliffs overlooking the Dead Sea. We then went and swam in the Dead Sea which I have always wanted to do. I even managed to film whilst bobbing like a cork on top of the water. Thank you to Rafael Ben-Ari (http://www.israeli-photographer.chameleonseye.com/) who sent me the photo. He was a pleasure to work with.
The next day I filmed within the walls of the old city, at the foot of the Western (Wailing) Wall. What a privilege to be allowed to film in this most fascinating city. Everyone was immensely friendly and very proud of their city and religion. It was a shame I didn’t book a few extra days to explore a bit more.
