Just back from three days in Venice filming a two day event in several locations around the city. I last visited nineteen years ago aged 17 travelling around Europe on an InterRail ticket. I wish I had returned sooner – what a beautiful city.

It’s hard to pick out my favourite part of the job; Filming the Friday night party in the renovated La Fenice theatre, the 120 piece orchestra and choir playing just feet away from me on Saturday afternoon, or the party on Saturday night in a massive crumbling warehouse lit by candles. We were carried between venues by 40 year old wooden water taxis. Chugging down the tiny waterways at 4am was certainly a highlight.
