Last week I took advantage of light winds and clear skies to take a long return flight on the paramotor with two friends from Guildford up to Membury. It was a very cold flight, minus three degrees in the air which made about minus 25 with windchill. The outward flight was just over 50 miles, negotiating the landing approach at Farnborough and nearby danger areas, and the return flight was through much more open airspace and countryside before turning east past Lasham and Alton.
There was other aerial activity – we were buzzed by a light aircraft who wanted to take a closer look, and more excitingly a Chinook flew across our path fairly close. I must do some more video filming from the air soon, but am having too much fun taking photos. If anyone wants an aerial photo of their house, let me know!
