It’s been non-stop for the past few weeks. Today has been my first day off for a few weeks and I’ve especially needed it after my job at the weekend filming the Oxfam Trailwalker event where over a thousand people walked 100km along the South Downs from Petersfield to Brighton. The event logistics were handled by the Gurkhas who did a fantastic job with constant smiles.
Sadly the weather wasn’t ideal and on Saturday we had almost constant rain. They were difficult conditions to film in, especially compared to the Trailtrekker event that I filmed a couple of months ago in sunny Yorkshire. What was the same was the lack of sleep – just over two hours on Saturday night before getting up at 3am to catch sunrise. I caught up on sleep today, and am going to need it as I start filming for Samsung at the Olympics this Monday. The next three weeks will be very busy so I’ll try to keep you updated… if I can stay awake! Have a look at the short congratulations video below – well done to the team at www.rb-create.com for the overnight edit.
